Activities and Responsibilities
Church potlucks at St. Mark Lutheran Church are cherished events that bring together members of the congregation to share homemade dishes and enjoy a meal in fellowship. These gatherings offer a wonderful opportunity for people to connect, celebrate community, and experience the warmth and hospitality that define our church family.
Each year, we organize a School Supplies Collection to ensure that local students have the essential materials they need to succeed in their education. We gather donations of notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and other supplies, which are then distributed to children in need within our community.
In partnership with the Appalachian Christmas Project, we collect personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and other necessities. These items are packaged and delivered to families in the Appalachian region during the holiday season, providing them with much-needed relief and support.
Through the God’s Global Barnyard program, we raise funds to provide livestock and other resources to families in developing countries. These gifts help improve food security and economic stability for communities around the world, embodying our commitment to global outreach and compassion.
